Taylor stands at a lengthy 7-foot and is listed as the No. 2 center in the 2026 class and the best player out of Missouri. Taylor looks set to visit the Jayhawks in late September.
When looking at On3/Rivals, this is where the excitement can ramp up for Jayhawk fans. Kansas is posted with a 23.0% chance of snagging Taylor, with a large part of that production likely due to the fact that Taylor currently attends Link Academy, which resides in Shawnee, Kan.
Link Academy has a recent history of producing some of the best talents the nation has to offer. Currently, four former Link players have been drafted in Tre Johnson (Washington Wizards), Ja'Kobe Walter (Toronto Raptors), Julian Phillips (Boston Celtics), and Jordan Walsh (Sacramento Kings).
Now, the obvious point to see here is that none of these prospects joined Kansas, which can mar the prospects of Taylor joining.
According to KSR, Kentucky's On3 site, where they recently broke down Taylor's incoming official visit to the Wildcats, this quote was released.
‘I’d say my greatest strength as a player is being able to adapt,” Taylor said. “I can adapt to a lot of situations and a lot of different games. Say one game I’m not getting a lot of touches or being featured in the offense, I’ll still go crash the glass, seal my guy under the rim for my teammates to get the open layup, and I’ll go set screens to get people open. I’ll defend my butt off.”
247Sports has listed six schools as "Warm", including Kentucky, Michigan State, Indiana, Oklahoma and Oregon.
When overviewing the Kansas roster, just one player stands at Taylor's level, and that is Paul Mbiya. Mbiya is a freshman from the ASVEL team system in the top-tier level French Pro A League, where he averaged 15.3 points, 11.7 rebounds, and 3.0 blocked shots per game in 2024-25.
