The No. 21 Kansas Jayhawks are set to begin their final stretch of out-of-conference games prior to the beginning of the Big 12 season.

So far, the Jayhawks have started with a 6-3 record, which recently saw the Jayhawks go undefeated in the southwest at the Players Era Championship, where Kansas notched a smooth 3-0 record with wins over Notre Dame (71-61), Syracuse (71-60), and No. 13 Tennessee (81-76)

Following those three wins, Kansas ran into a roadblock against the No. 5 UConn Huskies. While the Jayhawks could have walked away with a massive win inside Allen Fieldhouse earlier this week, Kansas just stumbled near the final hurdle and fell 61-56. Now, since the second game of the season, the Jayhawks have been without Peterson, that is, until now.

With Peterson back in the lineup, this will be his first appearance since November 7th, an 87-74 loss to the No. 16 UNC Tar Heels. Despite his lengthy absence, Kansas fans have been able to see strong glimpses of his ability. Against both the Tar Heels and Green Bay, Peterson delivered. In 22 minutes against the Phoenix in what was a 94-51 win for Kansas, Peterson totaled 21 points on 7-11 shooting, with four rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and one turnover.

Against the Tar Heels, in 28 minutes, Peterson notched a further 22 points on an 8-14 clip, with three rebounds, three assists, two steals, one block, and three turnovers.

The Missouri Tigers sit with an 8-1 record and just found their first loss of the season against the Fighting Irish in a 76-71 loss.

Tipoff is set for 12 p.m. CT with streaming available on ESPN 2
