Kansas basketball coach Bill Self has been on quite a tear recently.
Not only did Self become the winningest coach in KU history earlier this week, he’s also been making major noise on the recruiting trail – which has only gotten louder with his most recent commitment.
Five-star power forward Bryson Tiller from Atlanta, Georgia, announced his decision to play for Kansas early Saturday morning. The 6-foot-10 prospect ranked as the No. 21 player in the 2025 class ultimately picked KU over Georgia Tech, Auburn, and Indiana.
Tiller will be coming to KU with his Overtime Elite teammate Samis Calderon who committed to the Jayhawks just a few days ago. Tiller and Calderon will be joined by five-star guard Darryn Peterson whom Self said was one of the biggest signings in program history.
Self also received a pledge from four-star athlete Jaden Nickens earlier this week who will be playing both basketball and football at KU.
KU’s 2025 recruiting class is now ranked No. 3 in the country, according to 247sports.com, just behind UCONN and Duke.
It’s been wildly impressive how quickly Self has been able to put together one of the best recruiting classes in the country for next year. He’s currently got the No. 1 team in the country and a top three recruiting class for next year.
Simply put, Self is on top of the college basketball world right now.
