1. Zeke Mayo (G)

Mayo is definitely the player to watch heading into Late Night, and his role on the team remains one of the biggest question marks. Will the SDSU transfer start alongside Harris as a primary ball handler, or will he come off the bench as a sixth man? Whether he will quickly adjust to Power 4 basketball also remains an essential question. One thing is for sure — the Lawrence native could be the Jayhawks' biggest X-factor in 2024-25.

Self has reiterated multiple times that Mayo looks like KU’s best player on the floor. While most fans expect that title to be held by Dickinson during the regular season, it will be interesting to see how his outside shooting and playmaking impact the Jayhawks offense. If we see him take over the scrimmage with a barrage of threes, we will know he is the real deal.
