2. Hunter Dickinson will still frustrate fans at times

Dickinson is a walking 20 and 10 double-double threat whenever he steps into a gym. We’re not discrediting the fact that he is a top-five big man in college basketball and a potential Naismith Award finalist. But as Jayhawk fans learned last year, he can really limit a team’s ceiling at times.

He failed to capitalize on a lot of 1-on-1 opportunities with a significantly smaller defender playing him. His final stat line looks fine, yet those who watched know he should have shot much better than 7-for-15. Thankfully, UNC didn’t exploit his defense too much because he is already hobbled with a foot sprain.

There are countless instances when people watching their TV probably want to scream at Dickinson for putting up a baby hook rather than throwing down a dunk. For a player who is usually the tallest player on the court, he sure doesn’t play like his size. It’s difficult to come to terms with Dickinson’s finesse-style play, but he’s still miles better than your average traditional big man. Take the good with the bad, right?
