In Saturday's Kansas basketball loss to Baylor, the Jayhawks blew their biggest lead in school history despite leading by 21 points in the first half. It was an all-time collapse for KU, a team that continues to underperform and lose games that should have been won.
Fingers are being pointed all across the team, and everyone deserves some of the blame for the Jayhawks' disastrous collapse. However, three people in particular should assume a large portion of the responsibility for the defeat.
3. Dajuan Harris
After missing his first game in several years due to a tweaked ankle, Dajuan Harris returned to the lineup yesterday. But despite expectations that his presence would bolster KU’s defense, he struggled throughout the contest, finishing with a team-worst -17 plus-minus while continuing to have issues at the free throw line.
Harris once again failed to capitalize on multiple wide-open jump shots, which further highlighted his shooting woes. In 20 appearances, his three-point percentage has dropped to a career-low 31.6%. Kansas having a floor general who cannot hit threes with anyone within 10 feet of him is severely hurting the team's floor spacing.
