1. Subpar 3-point shooting — 7-for-23 (30.1%)

Stop us if you’ve heard this before: Kansas basketball might have a shooting issue. A year after the Jayhawks collectively shot 33.2% from long range — KU’s worst percentage in the Bill Self era — perimeter struggles still persist.

3-point shooting was nonexistent last weekend. Kansas shot just above 30% from three. Additionally, that number was bolstered by Dajuan Harris, who uncharacteristically knocked down four of his five tries from beyond the arc. AJ Storr (0-for-4) and David Coit (0-for-4) accounted for half of the team’s misses.

To keep a positive outlook, Hunter Dickinson will create more open shots when he returns to the court. He receives an incredible amount of attention from opposing defenses. But if this group has to rely on Harris being its best perimeter shooter, the Jayhawks’ offense could be in for a long season.
