Freshman guard Elmarko Jackson connected on a 4-point play against Mizzou to give Kansas basketball the lead.

Kansas basketball had a slow start to the Border Showdown vs. Mizzou, trailing 15-6 halfway through the first half. However, Allen Fieldhouse worked its magic as always, and one play in particular ignited the comeback.

Elmarko Jackson hasn’t had the best start to his freshman year. The former 5-star recruit is averaging 5.7 points, 3.3 assists, and 1.4 rebounds so far. He has already eclipsed his point average in the first 20 minutes with six — and four of them came on one play.

While the Jayhawks trailed 29-27 with four minutes to play, Jackson connected on a 3-pointer and the referees called a foul too. See it for yourself below.

It set a fire for the Jayhawk fans in the building and allowed Kansas to go on a 20-2 run in the final 6:12 of the half. They now lead lead 41-29 into the break.
