Kansas Basketball Stat No. 2 — Dajuan Harris scored a career-high 23 points

There have been times that Dajuan Harris has showcased his scoring ability, but none like the showing we saw on Tuesday. He took matters into his own hands offensively, connecting on all five of his 3-point attempts until he put up a shot clock expiring heave in the final minute.

He finished with 23 points and seven assists on 7-for-12 shooting, 5-for-6 3-point shooting, and 4-for-5 free throw shooting. Those were by far the best offensive numbers of his collegiate career. Even former Kansas basketball star Christian Braun tweeted, “Juan can score when he wants it’s always been like that. He just likes to pass. Been like that since middle school. Best PG in country.”

We probably won’t see many games where Dajuan has to put up 12 shots again this season. He didn’t even attempt one in the season opener and shot it just four times vs. Manhattan. However, this team plays much better when he is aggressive offensively, and the progress in his jump shot could take KU a long way.
