Make it rain! Kansas basketball player ratings from A to Z from blowout win over NC Central
By Tony Zuzzio
Tier 2: Baby Jays
5. Nicolas Timberlake
Nicolas came out firing, which was a great sight for Jayhawk fans. He went 4-for-5 from the field, including 3-for-4 from 3-point range. Nick played 20 minutes and had 13 points off the bench with one assist and one turnover. He will need to continue knocking down outside shots to see extended playing time. He battled on defense and is still a work in progress on that side of the floor.
6. Johnny Furphy
Johnny came in and provided a solid 17 minutes. He knocked down 2-for-4 attempts from three and had six points. Furphy battled all over the floor and added five rebounds, two assists, and one steal. He will continue to get more and more comfortable as the year progresses. Can’t wait to see his continued development.
7. Elmarko Jackson
Elmarko got the start and played 21 minutes. He started off slow with three quick first-half fouls as he was reaching and not moving his feet on defense early. He bounced back to have a solid overall game with eight points, five assists, one rebound, and one turnover. His speed and athleticism just jump out at you.
8. Parker Braun
Parker played to his ceiling in this game. In 20 minutes, he did everything you would want your backup big man to give to you. He was 5-for-6 from the field, scoring 10 points, adding five rebounds, three assists, one block, and one turnover. Many weeks, his performance would have had him ranked higher, but yesterday everyone played well.
