Kansas basketball opens its season tonight against NC Central. Find out how you can watch the much-anticipated debut of the No. 1 ranked Jayhawks.

The Kansas Jayhawks are playing a basketball game tonight. Those are words we haven’t uttered for 234 days.

Bill Self will guide the No. 1 team in the nation against the NC Central Eagles. A heart ailment held him out of the Big 12 and NCAA tournaments last season, but the Hall of Fame head coach is back healthy and had a tremendous offseason, most notably bringing in top-rated transfer Hunter Dickinson from Michigan.

NC Central is fresh off an 18-12 season in 2022-23 in which they went 10-4 in conference play. The MEAC coaches poll selected them to finish third in their league. They might play in a feeble conference, but the Eagles are no slouch — they came close to upsetting Virginia on their home court one year ago.

Still, Kansas will be experimenting with its new roster and hopes to improve upon its unimpressive showings in their two scrimmages last week. Jayhawks fans will not want to miss their team’s season opener today, so here is all the necessary information you’ll need to watch tonight.
