Fresh off a huge win over Iowa State, Kansas football can now set their sights on Texas Tech next Saturday. Find out when the Jayhawks play the Red Raiders in Lawrence.

David Booth Memorial Stadium and Kansas football will host its second consecutive late-morning game next week against Texas Tech at 11:00 a.m. CT.

The Big 12 released next week’s schedule as soon as each school finished their games, and KU learned that they’d be kicking off early once again just a few hours after defeating Iowa State 28-21 in Ames to advance to 7-2.

The last time the Jayhawks competed in The Booth, they pulled off one of the greatest upsets in school history over No. 6 Oklahoma. They have not lost in their home stadium since College GameDay was aired on-site in Week 6 of last season, and they’ll look to continue their fortunes against the 4-5 Red Raiders.

Kansas is in the midst of one of the program’s most successful seasons in the modern era. They have already clinched bowl eligibility and are guaranteed to finish the year with a winning record, a feat KU has not accomplished since their Orange Bowl-winning 2008 season.

When these two teams met in 2022, TTU pulled away in the fourth quarter to defeat Kansas 43-28 in Lubbock. Jason Bean started this game as well, and Devin Neal totaled 190 yards on the ground. However, the defense could not withstand Tech’s run game and collapsed relatively early in the contest.

With a remodeled defense and a packed house cheering behind them, Kansas football enters the clash with a much better chance of coming out victorious than last season. The Jayhawks have not fared well against Texas Tech in the past — Kansas is 1-15 in their most recent meetings dating back to 2004 — but Lance Leipold’s group has shown they are more than capable of breaking streaks that past KU squads couldn’t.
