Kansas Football Key Player No. 5. DE Austin Booker

Austin Booker has become a game-changing player for Kansas football. The Minnesota transfer has recorded a team-high six sacks and nine tackles for loss in his inaugural season as a Jayhawk, all while drawing double teams nearly every play.

It will be the job of the D-line to rattle Iowa State’s signal caller and make sure he doesn’t get to make any easy throws. Rocco Becht might be better than fans originally anticipated heading into the season, but he is still a mistake-prone freshman that has not fared too well against the better defenses he’s faced. If Booker can get into the backfield a handful of times, you best believe Becht will be seeing the 6-foot-6 edge rusher in his nightmares the next night.
