Kansas Football Key Player No. 4. CB Kwinton Lassiter

Mello Dotson normally plays across superstar defensive back Cobee Bryant on the gridiron. However, despite catching an electric pick-6 to open the gates against Oklahoma, Dotson was held to just seven snaps as he battled through an injury for most of the contest.

Lassiter stepped in and did as well as he could against one of the most talented wide receiver groups in the Big 12. He caught a pair of interceptions earlier in the season and is one of the more experienced players on the roster.

Dotson might be good to go fully for tomorrow’s contest. However, he is a player who typically does not miss any snaps, and his usage could be limited if he is not at 100%. Lassiter will likely see an extended number of plays and must be at the top of his game against an impressive ISU wide receiver core.
