3. Dajuan Harris

Dajuan Harris‘ scoring averages across his three years at KU have increased slowly. He has gone from averaging 2.4 points as a freshman to 8.9 points as a redshirt junior.

Harris had a sneaky good stretch in the final 16 games of last season, averaging 11.1 points on 49% shooting on a 39.5% 3-point clip. When he looks to score, Kansas plays its best basketball. Some of his offensive ability was put on display during the team’s Puerto Rico trip, but there are still things he needs to work on — most notably his consistency. There were 12 games in which he scored five or fewer points in 2022-23, six of those with one or fewer field goals made.

Most people wouldn’t think of him as an offensive threat in the slightest. He is a pass-first facilitator with a choppy jump shot, and it doesn’t help that he is often hesitant to shoot the rock. However, his scoring dramatically increased as he received an uptick in minutes one year ago, and his numbers should slightly rise in 2023-24 — perhaps even into the double-digit range.
