By Tony Zuzzio
Kansas Basketball No. 6 Best Point Guard Under Bill Self: Remy Martin (2021-2022)
Remy only played one year at Kansas, but he was Mr. March and helped carry us in many tournament games to the 2022 National Championship. While his style clashed with Self for most of the season, he delivered when it counted most.
He averaged 8.6 points per game his senior year with 2.5 assists, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.1 steals per game. Remy came off the bench and exploded for double figures in four of six tournament games and really carried us with big shot after big shot throughout the tournament.
Remy averaged 14.0 points per game in the tournament on an insane 47.6% clip from 3-point percentage, adding 4.8 rebounds and 2.7 assists. His offense carried us in the second half of the championship game and several others throughout the tournament.
Kansas Basketball No. 5 Best Point Guard Under Bill Self: Aaron Miles (2001-2005)
Aaron was a winner and was already here with Bill Self when he arrived in 2003. He started 137 of the 138 games he played in. Miles had career averages of 8.6 points, 6.9 assists, 1.9 steals and 3.3 rebounds a game.
He was a leader and set his teammates up consistently. He ended with 954 career assists, the most in Jayhawk history, the most in the Big 12, and at the time, eighth most in NCAA history.
