Tier 3: No Jays

7. Parker Braun

Parker played nearly seven minutes and had one rebound and one turnover while not attempting a shot. While he hustled, he seemed overmatched at times down low. Braun will be a spot-minute guy coming in to give Hunter a rest. If he can’t get it done, KJ will slide to the 5-spot when Hunter is out.

8. Jamari McDowell

Jamari played just four minutes in his Kansas basketball debut. He hustled on defense but did not have a lot of opportunities, as his only stat was one turnover. He will be fighting all year to see minutes as he appears to be the eighth or ninth man along with Parker.

9. Zach Clemence

Zach, who still plans to redshirt, played just two minutes. He had one rebound and hustled when out there. Barring injuries or poor play, we will most likely not see him in the regular season.

N/A. Johnny Furphy

Johnny did not play today due to injury with shin splints. What we saw today was that we were lacking additional shooters and playmakers, and I hope that he can fit this role.
