The other guard KU has available coming off the bench will be freshman Jamari McDowell.

McDowell comes into the season with much less hype and expectations than his freshman counterpart Jackson. He was the No. 95-ranked prospect according to Rivals coming out of high school.

He will likely play limited minutes this season, and his inexperience and contributions are a much bigger question mark than Jackson’s – which again, provides uncertainty for bench production this year.
