2019 Preseason No. 1: Michigan State

Final Record: 22-9
NCAA Tournament Results: N/A

As Kansas basketball fans, not having a tournament in 2020 was heartbreaking. We didn’t get to see Devon Dotson and Udoka Azubuike pursue a title after dominating the regular season, and I’m sure Michigan State fans feel the same way about Cassius Winston and Xavier Tillman.

The duo led the Spartans to a first-place finish in the Big Ten and would have likely been a three or four seed in the tournament. Unfortunately for us all, COVID-19 prevented that tournament from happening.

With the duo they had and the magic that Michigan State seems to have in March, I have a feeling they would have made a good run. It just never panned out for any team that year.
