SG Christian Braun — Denver Nuggets

Some considered Christian Braun’s departure from Kansas basketball to be early, but he shot that criticism down with an effective rookie season. He earned the trust of head coach Mike Malone with his never-give-up playstyle and strong defense.

Braun was particularly impressive in the NBA Playoffs, including a 15-point outing in Game 4 of the Finals, where he shot a near-perfect 7-of-8 from the field. He was even making headlines with his hilarious celebrations during Denver’s title parade.

He contributed more than anyone could have expected that year and will have an even bigger role after guard Bruce Brown signed with the Indiana Pacers.

Denver is the other team making their season debut tonight, with this one coming at 7:30 p.m. CT in a Western Conference Finals rematch. Make sure to tune in.
