4th toughest Kansas basketball game: at Indiana Hoosiers

A storied basketball program on the road is never going to be an easy task. The Indiana Hoosiers haven’t been very relevant for more than two decades now, but they have a good amount of momentum with Mike Woodson, who will be entering his third year as head coach of the Hoosiers.

The Hoosiers had a successful season, which saw them snag a No. 4 seed in the NCAA Tournament before losing in the Round of 32 to No. 4 seeded Miami Hurricanes, who went on to make the Final Four.

Many may remember the blowout the Jayhawks had over the Hoosiers last year, but this will be a whole new team in 2023. Woodson lost All-American forward Trayce Jackson-Davis, and he brought in highly touted Oregon transfer Kel’el Ware to replace him. The Hoosiers also bring back veteran point guard Xavier Johnson and former 5-star forward Malik Reneau.

The main prize of the 2023 offseason for Woodson and Co. is the addition of top-10 recruit Mackenzie Mgbako, who Jayhawk fans should be very familiar with — he stunningly chose Indiana over Kansas.

Playing in a sold-out Assembly Hall will be very tough, and Kansas basketball will have to play a solid game to come out of there with a win.
