Derik Queen: C, Montverde Academy

While Kansas basketball already has a commitment from a center in the upcoming graduating class, there’s no reason they couldn’t go for a twin-tower duo. Queen is an uber-talented big man who can beat opposing defenders in the post with tremendous athleticism. He is the second or third-best center in 2024, next to Bidunga and Jayden Quaintance.

Maryland has been pursuing Queen hard lately, but he took an official visit to KU and has close ties to the coaching staff. It would have helped KU’s chances if McNeeley committed because the two are teammates and close friends. Still, there is a sliver of hope Queen comes to Lawrence.
