Kansas Football Game 5 at Texas Longhorns

This game was full of drama, and that started about an hour before the game. Jalon Daniels apparently tweaked his back injury while warming up at the team hotel in Austin. He would later be ruled out minutes before kick-off.

Jason Bean was thrown into the fire and never really had a chance against a great Texas Longhorn defense. Even with Daniels, the odds were stacked against the Jayhawks in this one. The Longhorns were simply bigger, faster, stronger, and better than Kansas, and it showed on the scoreboard.

Kansas football stuck around late in the 3rd quarter, even having multiple drives with the opportunity to take the lead. A critical mishap by the offense on 4th-and-1 late in the 3rd quarter proved to be the nail in the coffin for Kansas in this one.

I predicted Kansas to lose against Texas 48-21 in the preseason. Kansas football lost 40-14.

My Prediction: 48-21, Texas wins
Actual Score: 40-14, Texas wins
