Kansas basketball recruiting target Liam McNeeley makes his college decision today. Here is where we project the 5-star wing to attend.

The Kansas Jayhawks currently have the third-best recruiting class nationally for 2024. Flory Bidunga, Labaron Philon, and Rakease Passmore are currently committed to KU. However, another target will be making his decision today.

Liam McNeeley is a consensus 5-star and top-15 player in his upcoming graduating year. After initially considering Oklahoma, Texas, Indiana, Michigan, Alabama, and Kansas, the Montverde Academy star is down to just the Hoosiers and Jayhawks.

He is widely considered to be one of, if not the best, shooter in the Class of 2024. At 6-foot-7, 190 pounds, he can serve as a point forward or a wing.

His long-awaited decision will come today at 2:00 p.m. CT. Here is where we project Liam McNeeley to commit.

Liam McNeeley will commit to Indiana, not Kansas basketball

All signs point to McNeeley pledging to Mike Woodson’s Hoosiers today. Indiana was the final official visit he took before cutting his list to two, and it has been rumored that he and Montverde teammate Derik Queen are planning to team up at IU.

Kansas is still looking to add another player or two in 2024, but they have likely shifted their attention away from McNeeley. Rakease Passmore, although a different position, is the wing player head coach Bill Self wants to develop. 247 Sports’ Michael Swain recently reported that Kansas is checking in on a new recruit, Bryson Tucker, to fill the need at power forward.

Jayhawk fans can still hold out a sliver of hope to land the highly touted McNeeley. Coach Self had an in-home visit with him and his family toward the end of September, and we have seen him pull off some unexpected recruiting jobs in the past. However, the likelihood is that he puts on the crimson and cream Indiana hat this afternoon.
