Kansas basketball enters the 2023-24 season as the favorites to win it all. This is the projected starting lineup and key bench pieces for the title hopefuls.

Very few programs enter every season with championship aspirations, but head coach Bill Self and the Kansas Jayhawks are always a threat to win March Madness. They are one year removed from their tournament victory over North Carolina en route to the second crown earned in the Self-era.

Last season ended in disappointing fashion when KU fell to Arkansas in the Round of 32. Considering only seven schools have ever won back-to-back NCAA tournaments in the sport’s history and Bill Self was unable to coach due to a heart ailment, Kansas was never in a position to come out as champions. However, he is back at full strength and put the Jayhawks right back in the mix, thanks to a wildly successful offseason.

Kansas enters 2023-24 as the likely preseason No. 1 team. They are the March Madness betting favorites and one of the most complete squads in the nation. Therefore, we took a deeper dive into what their starting lineup will look like, including a few of their key rotational pieces off the bench.

We predicted the starting five for Kansas basketball, as well as their key pieces off the bench.
