1. KU’s rushing offense is one of the most dynamic in the country

Kansas football totaled 399 yards and five touchdowns on the ground on 51 carries. In fact, they averaged one point per carry (I just randomly made up that stat). Jason Bean only needed to throw 12 teams, and there was still an onslaught of the UCF defense. KU’s rushing attack is special.

It isn’t only because of the running backs, either. Neal and Hishaw are terrific, but the offensive line deserves a ton of credit too. They play into Andy Kotelnicki’s complex scheme and do a great job at it. And while handing the ball off is one of the easier things to do in football, Bean earned some props yesterday with how well he knows how to run option plays and the ins and outs of the offense.

We probably won’t see a rushing performance as electric as what we saw yesterday. However, it is now clear that the team can win games by just pounding the ground.
