5. This performance doesn’t reflect how KU will play this season

Our final takeaway is that we really shouldn’t have any takeaways from the scrimmage. No matter how you spin it, what we watched last night was BAD, bad basketball. Coach Self even called it the worst Late Night scrimmage he’s ever watched while he’s been KU’s head coach. He had to leave the broadcast table just to call a timeout and get his guys together. Yeah… it was bad.

So, take everything you saw with a grain of salt. That is not the caliber of basketball we’ll be watching a month from now, or in any game that counts for that matter.
