4. Kevin McCullar has taken massive strides as a leader

Kevin McCullar surprisingly returned to Kansas after a successful inaugural year in Lawrence. As he looks for his NBA Draft stock to grow, the former Texas Tech Red Raider has much to prove this season. McCullar showed that same intensity and grit we saw last season during the scrimmage.

He scored a team-high 12 points on 5-of-9 shooting. Bill Self has sung praise for McCullar all offseason, calling him the best player on the team in July. He is the glue guy for Kansas basketball and Coach Self is using him as a role model for less experienced players to look up to.
