Texas Tech Red Raiders (2-3, 1-1 Big 12) at Baylor Bears (2-3, 1-1 Big 12)

I mentioned two disappointing teams that would meet this week in conference play. That would be this game. 2023 has been an eyesore for TTU and Baylor fans, with both teams losing season openers that they shouldn’t have and having injuries to their quarterbacks. Nothing seems to be going right for either school, but one team has to come out on top.

Speaking of quarterback injuries, Tyler Shough could miss the remainder of the regular season after getting injured two weeks ago. Meanwhile, Blake Shapen returned for Baylor and led the Bears to a 28-point road comeback over UCF, the biggest deficit BU has overcome in program history. While I’m not a fan of Baylor’s defense, I think they’ll be able to score their way out of this one.

Game Prediction: 40-30, Baylor
