3. A win would practically lock up bowl eligibility

Kansas is a serious contender for bowl eligibility in the second straight season. The NCAA requires teams to win at least six games or maintain a winning percentage of .500 to be declared eligible for the postseason. With four wins and seven games to go, their chances are looking pretty good.

A win would put the Jayhawks at 5-1. They have several games they will be favored in as the season progresses, such as their road game against Oklahoma State and their home game against Texas Tech. It would be the first time KU reached consecutive bowl games since 2007-2008.
