No. 1 Reason for Optimism: KU’s toughest opponent is out the way
Let’s be honest — we were all dreading this game heading into the season. If you told me the Jayhawks would lose 40-14 in this game in June, I wouldn’t have been surprised at all. The thing that bugs me is the fashion they lost.
Regardless, we have to let bygones be bygones. The fact of the matter is that they were expected to lose this game by a lot of points, and they did just that. Besides the game against Oklahoma, every other contest is more than winnable.
This weekend, Kansas faces UCF at The Booth. It will be one of the most crucial deciders of whether Kansas can get a prestigious bowl game. A win could open the gates to a potential eight or 9-win season.
