3. The team’s performance in the Late Night scrimmage

The event I anticipate the most each year from Late Night is the Red-Blue 5-on-5 scrimmage. Because they are playing against each other, we get to see each player as individuals rather than as a cohesive unit. It’ll give us an opportunity to see who stands out on the roster.

While we’ve already seen a glimpse of how the team will mesh with one another during their offseason trip to Puerto Rico, it’ll be interesting to see their progress across the last two months. Another storyline to monitor will be how the guard room manages without Arterio Morris moving forward.

Something I’m hoping to get out of the scrimmage is to pinpoint a player with a consistent 3-point shot. I wasn’t too impressed with the outside shooting in August, but I’m hoping some guys have taken strides.
