The Kansas basketball team is less than a month away from competing in its first preseason scrimmage. These are three things to monitor heading into the week of Late Night in the Phog.

We’ve made it all the way from March to October without Kansas Jayhawks basketball. What a ride it’s been! While the offseason drama and transfer portal buzz have been fun, I’m ready to start watching the Jayhawks.

This weekend marks the unofficial beginning of KU’s season with Late Night in the Phog. It is the time when we really start to speculate how this year’s team will fare.

However, there is also plenty of exciting news on the recruiting trail. After landing 5-star center Flory Bidunga, Bill Self and Co. are looking to continue their success. The next few days could determine whether Kansas brings in a really good class or one of the best we’ve ever seen.
