2. CB, Cobee Bryant

Cobee Bryant is showing why he was voted a Preseason All-Big 12 Defensive First Team player this year. He has been targeted just nine times by opposing quarterbacks, yet has intercepted two passes and forced a scoop and score against BYU.

The reigning Big 12 Defensive Player of the Week will be tasked with guarding Xavier Worthy, one of the most explosive wideouts in the nation. He will be really tested for the first time this season. Worthy was held to just two receptions and 30 yards last season, so Bryant has had success against him in the past.

It is in the nature of a collegiate defensive back to slip up a few times a game. However, Bryant must limit his mistakes as much as he can to put up a stout defensive performance against Texas. He has been known often to be overzealous and tries to jump on balls too early.
