UConn Basketball

Flagg recently wrapped up his official visit to UConn, and things apparently went well. The reigning NCAA champions are pulling out all the stops to land the Maine native — after all, there’s no better pitch to a high school recruit than boasting a title.

After losing a good portion of last year’s talent, Flagg would easily fit onto their team. His only competition at the forward spot would come from Stephon Castle and Alex Karaban if they stick around another season, but there’s nobody at the collegiate level who’d overtake his role.

Unfortunately for Dan Hurley and the Huskies, the answer to whether Flagg is strongly considering UConn is a resounding “no.” It is a two-school race between Kansas and Duke at this point, and his recent visit was nothing more than a formality.

Barring any unforeseen circumstances, the Huskies are nowhere near their blue-blood counterparts in the race to capture the Flagg.
