4. Kansas football leads after the first half

Something that Kansas football fans dreaded last season were slow starts by the team. The game against Baylor stands out when they went down 28-3 in the first half and nearly surmounted that lead in the closing stages of the game. Well, Texas is (sort of) suffering from the same thing.

I know that they are the No. 3 team in the nation, so they can’t be compared to Kansas. However, the Longhorns were tied with Wyoming heading into the fourth quarter, and it took them a while to get it going against Rice.

It wouldn’t surprise me if Texas came firing out of the gates. Still, if they are looking past Kansas to get to Oklahoma, Steve Sarkisian’s group will get a reality check that the Jayhawks are the real deal.
