Iowa State Cyclones (2-2, 1-0 Big 12) at Oklahoma Sooners (4-0, 1-0 Big 12)

Oklahoma’s offense couldn’t do much last time around against Cincinnati, but they did hold the Bearcats to just six points. With Iowa State’s offense likely being the worst in the conference and them being on the road, I can’t envision a scenario where the Cyclones keep this one close for too long.

For reference, the Sooners have allowed 34 points through four games, or 8.5 per contest. Although those numbers are inflated from a feeble non-conference slate, Iowa State posted just seven points against Ohio. Improvements were shown a week ago, but Rocco Becht doesn’t strike me as a game-changing quarterback.

Matt Campbell needs to pull out all the stops this week. Trick plays, defensive formations that they’ve never used. Something to throw off OU’s game. The defense could force Dillon Gabriel to make a few mistakes, but I’m not sure if they can do that to the point where it is competitive.

Game Prediction: 31-10, Oklahoma
