The 18-game conference schedule for Kansas basketball was released today. Find out who the Jayhawks will be playing in the new-look Big 12.
The Kansas Jayhawks have released their conference schedule, meaning the entire slate of 2023-24 regular season games are now available. There will be three Big Monday games and some interesting matchups between them and the four new schools in the Big 12.
Let’s look over each game in the month of January before moving to February.
January 6: TCU at Kansas Basketball
KU’s conference opener will come against TCU on CBS. It will be a revenge game for Ernest Udeh Jr., who transferred to the Horned Frogs this offseason. Although it is their first conference game, Kansas won’t play TCU for the rest of the regular season.
January 10: Kansas Basketball at UCF
UCF opens its first-ever Big 12 conference slate against a pair of Kansas-based universities. It is the first time the two schools have ever met in basketball. Just like the TCU game, this will be their final meeting in the regular season.
January 13: Oklahoma at Kansas Basketball
Oklahoma is set to face off against KU for their third game in conference play. It can be watched on ESPN+.
January 16: Kansas Basketball at Oklahoma State
This road game in Stillwater will be aired on the main stage of ESPN. The Cowboys are 0-5 in their last five contests against the Jayhawks.
January 20: Kansas Basketball at West Virginia
Kansas takes on West Virginia in their second consecutive road game. It won’t be the same in Morgantown without Bob Huggins, though. Surprisingly, it will be the only game played between the two schools this year.
January 22: Cincinnati at Kansas Basketball
Cincinnati will have a daunting task heading into Allen Fieldhouse as a new member of the Big 12.
January 27: Kansas Basketball at Iowa State
This afternoon showdown will be aired on ESPN at 12:30 p.m. CT. Heading into Ames is always a difficult game for any Big 12 team.
January 30: Oklahoma State at Kansas Basketball
Kansas concludes its second and final conference game against Oklahoma State to round out the month. The second game will be played in Lawrence.
