Big 12 football officially began league play yesterday. These are our power rankings for the conference heading into Week 5.

The first few weeks of Big 12 football have not been pleasant. While sleeper teams such as the Kansas Jayhawks, UCF Knights, and West Virginia Mountaineers are exceeding expectations, there are several bottom feeders in the conference that might have hit the point of no return.

In all three weeks of non-conference play, Big 12 schools combined for a 10-4 record across the board. These losses included Baylor’s embarrassing defeat to Texas State and South Alabama’s rout of Oklahoma State.

With conference play, we can finally figure out which teams are the real deal. Week 4 gave us a good preview of how other schools will fare.
