4. Careless turnovers

A pair of careless turnovers let Illinois back into the game. Jalon Daniels threw an interception in the end zone, while Lawrence Arnold coughed up a fumble in Illini territory. Multiple points were squandered with these turnovers, and players must be more cautious with the ball moving forward.

Considering who they have played so far, Kansas football should have a better turnover margin than +1 with the defense making big plays. Things like this won’t fly against Big 12 schools, and Saturday’s game gives them a chance to correct it.
