Kansas Basketball Shooting Guard Depth Chart
1. Arterio Morris
2. Nick Timberlake
The only question mark in the starting lineup lies here. There are three terrific options for Kansas, and you can’t go wrong with any of them. Timberlake was one of the best 3-point shooters in this transfer portal class. However, Morris’ strong showings during KU’s trip to Puerto Rico and his defensive prowess led the fanbase and myself to believe he is the most likely starter.
Coach Self loves to run dual point guard sets, so Elmarko could also begin the year at the top of the shooting guard depth chart. However, his game is directed more towards being a facilitator and ball handler. Jackson starting at shooting guard would just mean Kansas has two points on the court. Therefore, I listed him as the backup point guard in the case that Morris or Timberlake gets the nod for the season opener.
