Kansas Football Defensive Ends

Hayden Hatcher is tied for the team lead in total tackles and has been one of the highest-graded run defenders at the defensive end position. However, Austin Booker received a more steady snap count on passing downs after a strong Week 1 showing. The Minnesota transfer recorded a pair of sacks vs. Illinois and is much better against the pass than Hatcher.

Opposite of Hatcher is Jereme Robinson, who is more of a three-down player. He has three sacks in two games and has quickly earned the trust of his coaching staff after serving in a reserve role in 2022.

Auburn transfer Dylan Brooks was a sleeper candidate to receive playing time, but he seems to have fallen behind Patrick Joyner Jr., a Utah State transfer. Joyner has strictly been used on late downs to rush the passer.
