Star Kansas Jayhawks safety Kenny Logan Jr. agreed to an NIL deal with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers.

Name, Image, and Likeness has become one of the most important factors for our NCAA student-athletes in recent years. Ever since 2021, players have been able to reap benefits off their name through endorsements and other means of promotion.

The Kansas football team consists of several athletes with NIL deals in place. Jalon Daniels, for example, is a brand ambassador for Adidas. Devin Neal has arrangements in place with Sporting KC. The most recent player to agree to an NIL deal is Kenny Logan Jr.

Per a press release, Logan is one of ten collegiate athletes to announce a partnership with Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers. Players at the University of Texas, Colorado, Georgia, and more were included in the collaboration.

Freddy’s is a renowned fast-food restaurant in the Midwest. They are most known for their thin smash burgers and custard treats. The state of Kansas hosts 37 of the chain’s locations, the second-most in the United States behind Texas (72).

Logan is entering his fifth and final year of eligibility at the collegiate level. Through 48 career games, he has recorded 298 total tackles, five interceptions, and 14 pass breakups. He’s been the starting strong safety at KU since 2020 and is the leader of the Kansas Jayhawks defense.

The Florida native is widely regarded as one of the best defensive backs in the conference. He was named to the Preseason All-Big 12 Defensive First Team by college football analyst Phil Steele and even the Paul Hornung Award Watch List.

The announcement came through an advertisement on his Instagram, which can be viewed by clicking here.
