
8. O-line held its own against a top-10 draft prospect
Jer’Zhan Newton was everywhere in the backfield last night, but I think the Kansas football O-line stood its ground. Aside from a tough night from Ar’Maj Reed-Adams in his first game back from injury, the other four starters were on point.
The elusiveness of the running backs also assisted the O-line. I don’t know how many times I saw Neal or Hishaw cutting a corner around an Illini D-lineman. All I knew was that it was an extremely effective tactic.
