10. Bowl eligibility is likely to be obtained again
Yesterday’s game will likely be an enormous deciding factor in whether the Kansas football program makes a bowl game in 2023. I’m going to go out on a limb and say that beating Illinois puts the chances of bowl eligibility extremely high for the Jayhawks.
Home games against BYU and UCF *should* be won, and road trips to Nevada, Cincinnati, and Iowa State are all winnable as well. I’m not saying they’ll be in contention to win the Big 12, but I would be willing to bet they finish in the top half of the conference.
