3. Liam McNeeley

McNeeley joined Montverde Academy teammate Derik Queen on his official visit last week, and sources indicate he had a terrific stay in Lawrence. Although I wouldn’t bank on it, he could very well become a Jayhawk within the next few months.

He is one of the purest shooters in his class and an underrated playmaker. McNeeley is equally effective either on or off the ball, and although his athleticism is lacking, he possesses a high basketball IQ.

Similar to Queen, McNeeley is thought of as an Indiana lean. Whereas Kansas already has a pledge at the center position, McNeeley would be the first forward to commit in the 2024 class. With Kevin McCullar set to graduate following the 2023-24 season, the Kansas basketball coaching staff should definitely be prioritizing him.
