3. Jalon Daniels takes less than half the snaps at quarterback

Renowned college football analyst Brett McMurphy announced that Jalon Daniels would play this week. However, fans should note how he didn’t say he would start. If he does suit up, I think he will play in a limited capacity.

Jason Bean is more than capable of leading the Kansas football offense. The starters have become even more familiar with him in the absence of Daniels. He isn’t a game-changer, but the coaching staff has enough confidence in him to where they won’t overwork Jalon.

Daniels has still not ramped up his practice reps to the level they should be right now. Expecting an injured player who hasn’t taken an in-game snap in nine months to go and lead a team against a Big Ten school simply isn’t realistic. I do believe he’ll operate a handful of drives, but not as many as Bean.
