Kansas football takes on Illinois tomorrow in a Friday night showdown. We gave five predictions for what we think will go down in the contest.

Expectations heading into the 2023 season were high for the Kansas Jayhawks. After defeating Missouri State in a quintessential bye week in Week 1, the attention shifts to one of the most important games that could decide Kansas football bowl eligibility.

Illinois football is coming off a 30-28 win against Toledo that saw them kick a game-winning field goal with less than 10 seconds left in the game. The Illini had one of their program’s best seasons in recent history, finishing 8-4 in the regular season under former Wisconsin head coach Bret Bielema.

While it’s difficult to predict how tomorrow’s contest ensues, we assembled a few predictions that we think are likely scenarios for the Illinois vs. Kansas football game.
