How every Big 12 football team fared in CFB Week 1

Oklahoma Sooners — 73-0 vs Arkansas State
Now THAT is the type of offense I expect to see from Oklahoma. The Sooners came flying out of the gate and never looked back. Halfway through the first quarter, OU had already opened up a 21-0 lead, and they turned that into a 45-0 deficit by halftime. They scored on all of their possessions except the very last one. Dillon Gabriel threw for 308 yards and a pair of touchdowns in just one half of action. Backup quarterback Jackson Arnold even went a perfect 11 for 11, with 114 yards and a touchdown. After a disappointing 2022 season, this was exactly what Brent Venables and Dillon Gabriel needed to get Sooner fans back on their side and to get 2023 started on the right foot.
Next Saturday, SMU comes to Norman to try to slow down this potent offense.
