Texas Longhorns — 37-10 Win vs Rice

Another slow start had Texas fans a bit weary in their game against Rice. Trailing 3-0 halfway through the first quarter and up just 13 at halftime, the Longhorns used a big third quarter to go up 37-3 and finally pull away from the Owls. Quinn Ewers threw for 260 yards and a trio of touchdowns, while the defense held former West Virginia quarterback JT Daniels to just 149 yards and two interceptions. Xavier Worthy, one of the top wide receiver prospects in the country, hauled in seven passes for 90 yards.

The Longhorns have what is likely their toughest test of the season next week as they travel to Tuscaloosa to take on Alabama.
